LOCAL AREA
Huntly was historically and still is a market town with its own livestock mart. The area is part of the rich farming heritage of the North East of Scotland and this can be seen from the sale of local produce in the town shops and at the Monthly Farmers Market in the Square.
For a town of less than 5000 residents, there are an abundance of clubs and societies eager to welcome visitors and various local attractions to keep guests occupied.
Whilst you are staying with us, here are some of the many things that you could do in the area:
-
Visit the 16th Century Huntly Castle
-
Go walking in the stunning country side on one of the local routes
-
Visit the Huntly Falconry Centre and see magnificent displays
-
Have an active day out at the Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre
-
Attend the Annual Huntly HAIRST, Food and Farming Festival
-
Visit the Monthly Farmers Market in The Square, on the 1st Saturday of each month.
-
Take part in some events organised by Deveron Projects, who's philosophy is that the town is the venue for events
-
Visit the Tin Hut to see the Folk Club and other Visiting Artists performing
-
Attend a ceilidh held by the HAGTAG and Huntly Development Trust in the Stewarts Hall
-
See the Huntly and District Pipe Band play in the Square in the summer
